Wire EDM |
 |
Our EDM Machines:
-
Accomplish the difficult tasks on
shapes that are impossible to machine using
traditional techniques.
-
Allow us to become more accurate in
creating complex shapes.
-
Are very economically desirable when
extreme accuracy is required to make tooling.

Wire Electrical Discharge Machining EDM
Process The wire
electrode does the cutting by rotating the wire and eroding the
material through electrical discharges between the wire
electrode tool and the tool steel. To start the process a
hole must be drilled through the tool steel so that the wire can
be set through the hole. The tool steel is submerged into
a dielectric fluid that is circulated to assist in removing
excess debris from the operation. |
Machined Graphite Electrical Discharge
Machining EDM Process
In this process, a piece of graphite is
machined to the required shape and then used to erode the
tool steel and penetrating through the tool steel in the
shape of the electrode. Using this process technique does
not require a drilled hole to start the process

Our EDM Operators
are quality oriented and follow our quality procedures
that comply with ISO 9000:2000. They are
responsible for the quality of the dies that they make
which assures our customers of top quality tooling.
Our dies are
inspected by the operator and are assured to pass final
inspection prior to submitting to our quality assurance
inspection department, thus eliminating unnecessary and
costly repairs. |
