The AutoCad is used to
design a die that can be made to produce a desired part.
The origin of the part starts with a customer submitted sketch,
drawing, picture, or even an extruded part for review.
Dimensions are taken off the part, entered into the AutoCAD and transposed onto a drawing.
The design is then mastered to get a final layout of
the die in a 2-dimensional view.
The ideal condition is that a die be made
using an existing DWG drawing submitted by the customer, thus
eliminating the excess time to create a drawing and the chance
of errors.
After the design is completed in the AutoCAD,
the information is entered into the MasterCAM and used to
program the CNC Lathes, CNC Mills and CNC Wire EDM. |
